TCS wins three awards for Corporate Engagement in Europe

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) announced that its title sponsorship of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon has been recognised with three top accolades at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2013. The company was awarded two “Gold” awards in the Best Partnership in Sports and Best Program to Raise Brand Awareness categories, as well as a “Bronze” award in the Best Community Involvement Category.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) announced that its title sponsorship of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon has been recognised with three top accolades at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2013. The company was awarded two “Gold” awards in the Best Partnership in Sports and Best Program to Raise Brand Awareness categories, as well as a “Bronze” award in the Best Community Involvement Category.

The Corporate Engagement Awards, established by Communicate magazine, the leading magazine for corporate communications and stakeholder relations, are Europe’s benchmark awards event for corporate partnerships, sponsorship and philanthropy.

Andrew Thomas, Publishing Editor for Communicate magazine, said, “We were bowled over by the creativity, strategic insight and implementation skills of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon corporate engagement campaign. Combining client engagement, charity involvement and brand building is no easy task. TCS has done this extremely well, earning the company a massive awareness increase for the TCS brand translating into almost 20% of the Amsterdam population, while raising substantial funds for charity in association with its key clients. TCS and its European clients show that there’s good in business, and the Corporate Engagement Awards celebrate it.”

At the 2012 TCS Amsterdam Marathon, 1200 TCS clients and employees joined forces to support the fight against cancer. Over thirty of its clients and partner companies had run in the TCS Amsterdam marathon in support of the official charity – VUmc Amsterdam Cancer Centre (VUmc CCA). These included ABN AMRO, Achmea, ASML, Avery Dennison, AXA, Belgacom, Boekel de Neree, DSM, I amsterdam, ING, Hogeschool Inholland, Irdeto, KLM, KPN, NXP, Platform Outsourcing Nederland, Rabobank, Royal HaskoningDHV, Tata Steel and Vodafone, among others. VUmc CCA formed their own team raised funds for its own research. An overall $115,000 was raised for the Cancer Center Amsterdam.
