Alstom to supply transformers for Nabinagar Power Generating Company Ltd

As a part of (NPGCL[1]) coal-fueled Super Thermal Power Project located in Bihar, India, Alstom T&D India will supply a power transformer package for Nabinagar Power Generating Company Limited in India by October 2017. The project has been set up to accelerate the pace of thermal capacity addition in the country.

As a part of (NPGCL[1]) coal-fueled Super Thermal Power Project located in Bihar, India, Alstom T&D India will supply a power transformer package for Nabinagar Power Generating Company Limited in India by October 2017. The project has been set up to accelerate the pace of thermal capacity addition in the country.

This order is worth approximately INR 1055 million ($14 million) and will cover the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, testing, erection and commissioning of generator transformers and associated  power transformers and shunt reactor. All equipment will be manufactured by Alstom T&D India’s transformer manufacturing and testing facility in Naini (Uttar Pradesh).

NPGCL[1]  is a joint venture between NTPC and the Bihar State Electricity Board.
