Kubanenergo to build a new high-voltage substation at Sukhoy port

Kubanenergo started with the construction of a new 110 kV substation Sukhoy port in the Crimean region of Krasnodar, Russia. The new power supply will allow connection of North- Caucasian railway to the network.

Kubanenergo started with the construction of a new 110 kV substation Sukhoy port in the Crimean region of Krasnodar, Russia. The new power supply will allow connection of North-Caucasus railway to the network.

According to the report, the Sukhoy port substation will have the most modern equipment, in particular, two energy-efficient 6.3 MVA power transformers which will supply the necessary power to the consumers.

The substation will also be equipped with modern gas-insulated switches, relay protection and automation microprocessor, and automated process control system. In addition, the experts will execute the construction of high-voltage taps at the new 110 kV substation. The construction should be completed in April 2014.

Kubanenergo is currently installing the earthing system and fencing the area off. They have also started the installation of prefabricated metal buildings. The foundation for the transformers has already been prepared.
