Alstom T&D awarded RIL contract
Alstom T&D India was awarded a contract by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to provide power transformer packages for the expansion of Jamnagar refinery in Gujarat, India. The contract is worth Rs 106 crore ($ 17,6 million).

Alstom T&D India was awarded a contract by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to provide power transformer packages for the expansion of Jamnagar refinery in Gujarat, India. The contract is worth Rs 106 crore ($ 17,6 million).
The contract is part of an ongoing expansion J3, which involves phase three expansion of the Jamnagar complex, according to the official statement. Alstom will provide power transformers, which will be manufactured at Alstom’s manufacturing facility in India, to receive power at high voltages and lower them to acceptable levels for distribution to newly expanded complexes which include Gasification plants, the Ethylene Cracker complex and the Paraxylene plant.
According to the contract, Alstom will design, engineer, manufacture, supply and supervise commissioning of 14 gasification service transformers and 3 generator step-up transformer packages.
