Corpoelec continues efforts to repair transformer fire damage

Venezuela, Maracaibo: Corpoelec staff continues in their efforts to repair the damage to the electrical infrastructure.

Corpoelec restored power supply to central Maracaibo in the early hours of Monday which was cut due to the power transformer fire, reports Noticia al Dia. The transformer fire happened on Saturday and the power was cut to the centre affecting all the facilities and shops.

The action to  complete the repairs are being conducted continuously in order to replace 500 kVA transformer and enable fully operational service. It is expected that the full assessment of the damage will be complete in the coming hours.

The representative of the state power: “I appeal to the community to be vigilant and look after the electrical installations, thereby ensuring service delivery to all users as well as the normal functioning of organisations and institutions.”
