Pakistan, Kohat: A power transformer repair workshop will be set up by the government in Kohat district, meeting a longstanding demand of the local people.
The announcement was made by MNA Shehryar Afridi, reports Dawn. He stated that the local people needed to pay for the cost of the private transformer workshops due to the lack of the government-owned workwhops and were charged excessively for some of the repairs.
Mr Afridi also said that people had been demanding establishment of such a workshop in Kohat region to facilitate people of Kurram and Orakzai Agencies, Karak, Hangu and FR Kohat.
