USA, Connecticut: GE’s Digital Energy has added the new PROLEC-GE flexible integrated transformer (FIT) to its medium-power transformer portfolio.

PROLEC-GE is a joint venture between GE and Xignux S.A. de C.V. that manufactures power transformers.

GE stated that the FIT offering includes the medium-power substation transformer, transportation of the unit, assembly, installation, operator training and around-the-clock service, reports Renew Grid.

According to GE reports, the FIT can continue to operate through severe electrical distribution system disturbances, such as lightning, short circuits and overloads. PROLEC-GE’s technical team and application engineers are available to support customers.

The FIT has been tested and verified to ensure it complies with the latest IEEE standards. PROLEC-GE can also customise other tests, such as transformer sweep frequency response analysis and noise testing.
