L&T wins $ 126.5 million contracts in Saudi Arabia and Oman

India, Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) power transmission and distribution business has secured contracts worth $ 126.5 million in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

India, Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) power transmission and distribution business has secured contracts worth $ 126.5 million in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

The contract from National Grid of Saudi Arabia includes construction of two 115/13.8 kV substations at Dammam Industrial Estate and Al-Majeedia, Qatif, reports EBR. The scope includes design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of 115/13.8kV power transformers and 115 kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS) amongst other equipment.

L&T has also secured a contract from the Oman Electricity Transmission Company to design and construct a new 400 kV Izki Grid station near Nizwa. It includes supply and installation of 500MVA transformer and 400 kV GIS as well as other equipment.
