Alstom wins power contract for Tysso II HPP in Norway

France, Levallois-Perret: Alstom has been awarded a contract by Statkraft to supply new power equipment and control system for the Tysso II hydro power plant in Skjeggedal, Norway.

France, Levallois-Perret: Alstom has been awarded a contract by Statkraft to supply new power equipment and control system for the Tysso II hydro power plant in Skjeggedal, Norway.

According to the contract, Alstom will supply, install and commission equipment including station power transformers, control systems, local distribution systems, circuit breakers and 72 kV cabling for the two units of the plant. Supply and commissioning of new power equipment for the Unit 1 of the plant is scheduled for completion in 2016 and for the Unit 2 in 2017, reports EBR.

Alstom Norway Country President Eric Staurset said: “We are proud to reconfirm our good relationship with our customer Statkraft. This project endorses our strategy to support customers with a full services and retrofit offering to secure operational reliability and to optimise their asset management throughout the plant’s lifespan.”
