Algeria, Naama: Eighty new power transformers were commissioned throughout the province under the 2014 Emergency Plan according to the officials of Sonelgaz.
The operation aims to improve the distribution of electricity, eliminate outages and address growing power demand, especially during the summer season, said the company director, Ali Taybouni.
The number of power transformers commissioned as part of contingency plans between 2013 and 2014 across the province has reached a total of 170 units, according to Taybouni.
The contingency plan for this year, including the strengthening and expansion of the distribution network cost of DZD 869 million ($ 11 million), reports Le Temps.
