India, Imphal: A major fire broke out at the 33/11 Lamphel Power Substation due to transformer damage.
Power transformer was damaged and caused fire that broke out at the control room, reports Kangla Online. State fire tenders arrived on time and managed to control the fire from spreading further.
According to the station staff, the fire probably originated from an electric short circuit and caused major damage to the transformer. The fire could have been caused by an oil leakage from the old power transformer.
