Power transformers at Bylovo substation to be upgraded

Russia, Moscow: Branch of JSC MOESK – Novaya Moskva started the reconstruction of 110 kV Bylovo substation which will increase power of the feeding centre by 4 times.

Russia, Moscow: Branch of JSC MOESK – Novaya Moskva started the reconstruction of 110 kV Bylovo substation which will increase power of the feeding centre by 4 times.

Two power transformers of 10 MVA will be replaced with the more powerful ones of 40 MVA, and renovated outdoor 110 kV switchgear, reports Rus Cable.

“Complex reconstruction of the substation, commissioned in 2000, will not only improve the quality and reliability of electricity supply in accordance with the standards of the capital metropolis, but will also enable the connection of new consumers. Ongoing works are part of the energy development programme  for the annexed territories, which runs until 2025.” said the head of Novaya Moskva, Yuriy Strebkov.

The investment in the modernisation of the supply centre will exceed RUB 250 million ($ 7.3 million).
