New power transformer to be delivered to Guri Dam

Venezuela, Bolivar: A new power transformer is being delivered for installation to Unit 5 of the hydroelectric plant Simón Bolívar – Guri Dam.
The transformer which was manufactured in Portugal, is being delivered from the Ciudad Guayana to the Guri Dam, where it will subsequently be installed and commissioned, according to the Corpoelec press release.
The delivery will take approximately two and a half days, reports El Mundo. The installation of the new transformer is part of a major maintenance which will allow Guri Dam to provide a total of 800 MW to the National Electricity System (SEN).
