Africa, Central African Republic: The Central African electricity company ENERCA will provide a new power transformer for Bangui In order to address the problem of frequent load shedding.
The new transformer will replace one of many others in the CAR capital, but are less efficient due to their age. The installation of the new transformer has started and will lead to frequent power cuts throughout the week. The transformer manufactured in Egypt will have a capacity of 10 MVA.
The installation of the power transformer was funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), reports Le Griot.
