Transelec wins contract worth more than $100 million in Chile

Chile: As part of the international tender Transelec presented the most competitive and lowest bid for the installation of autotransformers at the Alto Jahuel substation and the new 220 kV Lo Aguirre – Cerro Navia line.

Projects combined are worth over $100 million. Transelec CEO, Andrés Kuhlmann said: “This result reflects the knowledge, expertise and track record of the company to face these kinds of projects. We are very happy because in a very competitive process, we demonstrated efficiency to choose the right projects, being very responsible in assessing the risks and conditions.”

Autotransformers will be installed at the 750 MVA substation Jahuel Alto, which will strengthen the supply from the south towards the centre and the north of the country, reports Negocios.

CDEC-SIC is expected to make the final award official in the coming days.
