Russia, Novosibirsk: A new autotransformer has been installed at Novosibirsk hydro power plant as part of the framework of the RusHydro comprehensive modernisation.
Autotransformer Number 6 is used to transfer power from hydrounits number 6 and 7, as well as to ensure the power flow between the power networks of 110 kV and 220 kV. Replacing autotransformer Number 6 will significantly increase the reliability of the Novosibirsk HPP equipment.
Operation of autotransformer Number 6 is scheduled before the end of 2014, reports Novos MK.
