CG wins contract for power grid expansion in Paraguay

India, Mumbai: Crompton Greaves (CG) has signed a contract with the Administracion Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE) in Paraguay for eight single and three-phase transformers totalling 420 MVA in order to expand the country’s 220 kV and 66 kV electricity network.

 


India, Mumbai: Crompton Greaves (CG) has signed a contract with the Administracion Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE) in Paraguay for eight single and three-phase transformers totalling 420 MVA in order to expand the country’s 220 kV and 66 kV electricity network.

The company will manufacture the transformers in Mumbai and supply them in three separate lots. The scope will include spare parts, supervision of the installation and commissioning and onsite training.

The contract represents the strengthening of about 15% of ANDE’s current transformer capacity, reports Penn Energy.
