China XD developes mobile substation
China, Xi'an: China XD sucessfully developed 72.5 kV mobile substation device (50 Hz and 60 Hz).

Mobile substation facilitates transportation, saves land and installation costs. It substitutes wholly or partially fixed substations under emergency condition and assists with rapid recovery of power supply in short period.
It also complements insufficient power supply in some areas in heavy load seasons and is, at times, temporarily put into operation in those areas.
In China mobile substation research is still in comprehensive evaluation of current status and application prospectives. XD stepped up its way and has started 72.5 kV mobile substation research since December 2013.
