Abengoa wins $25M power transmission project in Oman

Oman, Muscat: Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OTEC) has awarded a $ 25 million contract to Spanish multinational corporation Abengoa to implement a new power transmission project.

 


Oman, Muscat: Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OTEC) has awarded a $25 million contract to Spanish multinational corporation Abengoa to implement a new power transmission project.

The project includes installation of a new electrical substation with power transformers and associated transmission line, in order to ensure efficient and sustainable power supply to the country’s south west, reports Zawya.

Abengoa, the company operating in sustainable energy and environment sectors, will execute procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the Al Dreez 132/33 kV electrical substation and the associated 132 kV transmission line.

The new 24 km line will connect the new substation with the existing substation in Ibri.
