USA, Washington DC: Several US government buildings lost power due to a transformer explosion in a construction accident on Monday.

 


USA, Washington DC: Several US government buildings lost power due to a transformer explosion in a construction accident on Monday.

A power line serving the State Department headquarters was severed during construction works, causing outages at the Federal Reserve, General Services Administration, Labour Department and a few other government buildings, reports CBS DC.

The outage which even caused lights to flicker at the White House was expected to last for hours.
