BTW wins $195M UHV AC/DC contract from SGCC
China, Baoding: State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has awarded a $195million contract to Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co., Ltd (BTW) for the supply of 4 packages of AC and HVDC transformers for two transmission projects.
China, Baoding: State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has awarded a $195 million contract to Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co., Ltd (BTW) for the supply of 4 packages of AC and HVDC transformers for two transmission projects.
As part of Lingzhou-Shaoxing ±800 kV UHVDC transmission project, BTW will supply 14 ±800 kV DC converter transformers with a total capacity of 5,772.2 MVA.
As part of Ximeng-Shandong UHV AC transmission project, BTW will provide 7 single phase 1000 MVA/1000 kV transformers with a total capacity of 7,000 MVA.
Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2015 and should be completed by early 2016.
