Obolon substation receives a $3.6M upgrade

Ukraine, Kiev: Kyivenergo has completed the reconstruction of the Obolon substation 110/10 kV, which forms an important part of the energy supply system of the capital.

 


Ukraine, Kiev: Kyivenergo has completed the reconstruction of the Obolon substation 110/10 kV, which forms an important part of the energy supply system of the capital.

Obolon substation has received an upgrade from 49 MW to 78 MW along with completely new power equipment including two new 63 MVA transformers and a switchgear assembly of 110 kV. The total Kyivenergo investment in the project has been valued at around $3.6 million, reports Kontrakty.

Obolon substation was commissioned in 1973 and has ever since been a major source of electricity in Obolon and Podolsky districts supplying power to many vital institutions and amenities.
