Isolux Corsan wins Saudi substation contract

Saudi Arabia, Al-Hasa: Saudi Arabia's National Grid has awarded a $40 million contract to the Spanish engineering and construction firm Isolux Corsan for the construction of two 115 kV substations in Al Hasa.

 


Saudi Arabia, Al-Hasa: Saudi Arabia’s National Grid has awarded a $40 million contract to the Spanish engineering and construction firm Isolux Corsan for the construction of two 115 kV substations in Al-Hasa.

As part of the project, Isolux Corsan will construct two new substations with power transformers and associated electrical equipment as well as modify the existing substation at Al-Uqair, reports Construction Week Online.

Under the scope of the contract the Madrid-based company will design, supply the equipment, test and commission the two new substations and the modified substation. The company will also provide equipment for the automation system.

The project is scheduled to be completed within 27 months.
