Zubovskaya substation in Moscow city centre receives an upgrade

Russia, Moscow: Moscow United Electric Grid company (MOESK) completed the main phase of the reconstruction of 110 kV Zubovskaya substation located at the heart of the capital.

 


Russia, Moscow: Moscow United Electric Grid company (MOESK) completed the main phase of the reconstruction of 110 kV Zubovskaya substation located at the heart of the capital.

As part of the reconstruction project, a new power transformer with a capacity of 80 MVA was installed replacing the transformer 63 MVA. With the other transformer 63 MVA earlier replaced by a transformer 80 MVA, this has resulted in a total substation capacity increase from 126 MVA to 160 MVA, reports Elec.

The reconstruction of Zubovskaya substation was launched in 2010 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2015. The total cost of the project has been valued at more than $7.6 million.
