FirstEnergy invested $30M in new power transformers in Ohio

USA, Ohio: FirstEnergy has made an investment of $690 million in the Ohio Edison service area on power transmission and distribution infrastructure, including building new transmission lines, new substations, and installing new power transformers.

 


USA, Ohio: FirstEnergy has made an investment of $690 million in the Ohio Edison service area on power transmission and distribution infrastructure, including building new transmission lines, new substations, and installing new power transformers.

As part of one of the key projects in the Ohio Edison service area, FirstEnergy delivered two massive 233-ton power transformers to a newly built transmission substation in the Massillon area at a cost of nearly $30 million, reports CNN.

The new substation is expected to be put into operation by mid-2015.
