USA, Pennsylvania: The transport of two heavy power transformers to the Panda Liberty power plant might require the closing of the bridge in Wysox, Pennsylvania, that carries state Route 187 over the Susquehanna River in Bradford County.

The two power transformers, which have arrived to Wysox by rail, will be transferred onto a truck that will transport them to the Panda Liberty power plant, which is under construction along state Route 187 in Asylum Township.

The transport of transformers will take place on two consecutive days and will require temporary closure of either the bridge on the Susquehanna River, or the bridge that carries state Route 2024 over the Towanda Creek in Towanda Township. The shutdown could last as long as 11 days due to a bridge inspection to be conducted after the moves of the heavy load.

The Panda Liberty power plant will generate 829 megawatts of electricity, enough to serve the needs of up to 1 million homes.
