Alstom to provide traction transformers for 10 new Paris RER trains

France, Paris: The French Transport Authority, STIF, has ordered a further ten MI09 double-deck trains from the Alstom-Bombardier consortium as part of the €95 million contract awarded to Alstom.

 


France, Paris: The French Transport Authority, STIF, has ordered a further ten MI09 double-deck trains from the Alstom-Bombardier consortium as part of the €95 million contract awarded to Alstom.

As part of the order, the traction transformers for MI09 trains will be designed and built at Alstom’s site in Petit Quevilly, reports EuroInvestor.

The new trains will operate on the Parisian RER line A, which carries 1.2 million passengers per day, making it the busiest regional line in Europe.
