CG secures $20M order from Indonesian PLN

India, Mumbai: Avantha Group Company Crompton Greaves has won a contract with the Indonesian government-owned electrical power distributor PT PLN for setting up a total of 36 transformer bays around Indonesia.

 


India, Mumbai: Avantha Group Company Crompton Greaves has won a contract with the Indonesian government-owned electrical power distributor PT PLN for setting up a total of 36 transformer bays around Indonesia.

The scope of the order valued at around $20 million includes design, manufacture, supply, construction and installation of 36 bays of 150 kV in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi islands of Indonesia, states Crompton Greaves in the press release.

This order follows last month’s order from PT PLN for the manufacture and supply of 37 units of 60 MVA, 30 MVA and 150/20 kV power transformers, valued at $26 million.

This project is being funded by IBRD – World Bank and is aimed at enhancing the performance of PT PLN’s transmission grid.
