Finland, Helsinki: Finnish manufacturer of measurement equipment Vaisala has released a new Moisture, Hydrogen and Temperature Transmitter MHT410 for online transformer condition monitoring.

MHT410 transmitter measures moisture, hydrogen and temperature directly in the high-voltage transformer insulating oil, providing real-time measurements and trend data to facilitate reliable decision-making, states Vaisala in press release.

Featuring an adjustable probe installation depth, which fits in a variety of transformer valves, the sensors are positioned in direct contact with representative oil.

MHT410 is maintenance-free, with no calibration or adjustment required after installation. The unit will be available in the summer of 2015.
