USA, South Dakota: 80 MW Beethoven wind project, operated by a Munich-based company BayWa AG, should go online in the coming days as the farm received the main power transformer.

The hefty power transformer has been successfully delivered to the plant after a journey for which it was stripped down and it still weighed 64 tons, reports Yankton Daily.

Beethoven wind farm is located in southeastern South Dakota, on farm land surrounding the intersection of Bon Homme, Hutchinson and Charles Mix counties.

The project, which BayWa AG bought from B&H Wind, consists of 43 turbines, each generating 1.85 MW of wind energy.
