Large transformer transported from the port of Malaga

Spain, Malaga: The Dutch ship Pacific Dawn mini heavy lifter, a medium sized cargo vessel used to transport special heavyweight goods, arrived to the Spanish port of Malaga to load a 189-ton power transformer and 41 bulky wooden boxes, the shipment bound for a power plant in Scotland.

 


Spain, Malaga: Pacific Dawn mini heavy lifter, a Dutch medium sized cargo vessel used to transport special heavyweight goods, arrived to the Spanish port of Malaga to load a 189-ton power transformer and 41 bulky wooden boxes, the shipment bound for a power plant in Scotland.

After the power transformer was boarded using two crane ships, the cargo vessel set sail for Grangemouth, Scotland’s largest container port, reports Malaga Hoy.

The transformer was manufactured in ABB factory in Cordoba, Spain.

According to Malaga Hoy, four similar shipments have gone for Italy and Scotland since May last year and new shipments are expected soon.
