$62M Avtozavodskaya substation upgrade enters second phase

Russia, Moscow: Moscow United Electric Grid Company completed the first phase of a large-scale reconstruction of Avtozavodskaya substation 220/110 kV, into which the company will invest $62 million (3.8 billion rubles).

 


Russia, Moscow: Moscow United Electric Grid Company completed the first phase of a large-scale reconstruction of Avtozavodskaya substation 220/110 kV in Moscow, into which the company will invest $62 million (3.8 billion rubles).

As part of the first phase, the company installed two additional power transformers of 80 MVA capacity, as well as a modern gas-insulated switchgear equipment 110 and 220 kV, reports Oreanda. 

The project is entering the second phase and all works are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

After the upgrade, the substation capacity will increase from 500 MVA to 660 MVA.
