Sinohydro installing 5 transformer stations at the new TPP in Angola

Angola, Luanda: Sinohydro, a Chinese hydropower engineering and construction company, is close to complete the works on Cuito Canavale thermal power plant, said Angolan Secretary of State for Energy.

The thermal plant project, due to be finished in August this year, includes installation of five transformer stations of 15, 250 and 630 KVA, as well as building the medium voltage and low voltage distribution network over a distance of 45 kilometres, reports Macau Hub.

The power plant will consist of a group of five generators of 1.5 MW each, with capacity to supply power to about 5,000 consumers.

The city of Cuito Cuanavale is 188 kilometres away from the capital of the province of Cuando Cubango.
