Caverion delivers a new substation for Pori Energia in Finland
Finland, Helsinki: Caverion, a Finnish provider of energy-efficient solutions has signed a contract with Pori Energia Sähköverkot Oy on the delivery of a new 110/20 kV substation to the neighbourhood of Kaanaa in the city of Pori in Finland.
Finland, Helsinki: Caverion, a Finnish provider of energy-efficient solutions has signed a contract with Pori Energia Sähköverkot Oy on the delivery of a new 110/20 kV substation to the neighbourhood of Kaanaa in the city of Pori in Finland.
As the main contractor, the company will provide the lead design of the substation, equipment deliveries including power transformers and associated electrical equipment, power line arrangements, cabling, testing, implementation and demolition work of the old substation, according to the company press release.
The design work for the substation will begin in March 2015 and the new substation will be completed in the autumn 2016. Caverion will deliver all the electricity and industrial installations of the project.
The new Kaanaa substation will replace the old existing substation. The rebuilding of the substation is connected to the grid renovation project, and the new substation will amplify electricity distribution of the nearby area and improve operational reliability of electricity distribution.
