New transformer station inaugurated in Togo

Togo, Lome: The Sokode electrical transformer station, situated about 350 km north of the Togo capital Lome, has been inaugurated by presidents of the West African countries Togo and Benin.

 


Togo, Lome: The Sokode electrical transformer station, situated about 350 km north of the Togo capital Lome, has been inaugurated by presidents of the West African countries Togo and Benin.

The transformer station was constructed by TBEA, a Chinese manufacturer of electrical equipment, at the cost of $19 million, and financed by China Eximbank, reports Spy Ghana.

The project was launched as part of 2011-2020 strategic plan of the Benin Electricity Community (CEB), a company jointly owned by Togo and Benin.
