During the outage, numerous inspections and preventative maintenance and improvement projects were completed, including the installation of a new, large transformer, the company states in the press release.

The new transformer, which is about 6 metres tall and weighs 115 tons, provides power from the off-site transmission network to the plant’s on-site electrical systems.
