USA, Connecticut: A power transformer issue at Yale University caused outages at many buildings on the central and science campuses before it was resolved on Saturday.

According to Yale officials, the grid serviced by the United Illuminating power transformer lost electricity, but the Yale buildings outside that grid did not lose power, reports NBC Connecticut.

During the outage United Illuminating was “rerouting power from other feeders to restore the electrical power for buildings effected by the service interruption,” according to Yale officials.

University’s Central Power Plant managed to restore the power at the university buildings on Saturday afternoon.
