BHEL provides transformers for a hydro project in Uttarakhand

India, Uttarakhand: Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has successfully commissioned the first unit of 82.5 MW at the upcoming Shrinagar Hydro Electric Project in Uttarakhand.

 


India, Uttarakhand: Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has successfully commissioned the first out of four 82.5 MW generator units at the upcoming Shrinagar Hydro Electric Project in Uttarakhand.

As part of the project, the company is also responsible for the design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of a generator transformer, unit transformer and station transformer, in addition to the busduct, associated station auxiliaries, 400 kV switchyard and other associated electrical equipment, states the company in the press release.

The greenfield hydro-electric project located on the Alaknanda River is being set up by Alaknanda Hydro Power Corporation (GVK Group).
