New Zealand Flaxmere substation receiving $2.8M upgrade

New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay: New Zealand electricity distributor Unison Networks is investing $2.8 million in an upgrade of its Flaxmere substation in Hastings to enhance reliability of supply to the surrounding community and industry.

 


New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay: New Zealand electricity distributor Unison Networks is investing $2.8 million in an upgrade of its Flaxmere substation in Hastings to enhance reliability of supply to the surrounding community and industry.

The upgrade of the substation will include new 33 kV and 11 kV power transformers and switchgear, as well as a construction of a new indoor switch room, and seismic strengthening of the perimeter wall, reports Scoop.

The upgrade work commences next Monday, and is expected to take a little over a year to complete.
