SPP Pumps makes multi-million investment to upgrade test facility

United Kingdom, Gloucestershire: SPP Pumps, a UK-based manufacturer of transformer oil pumps, has made a multi-million pound investment in an upgrade to the test facility at its headquarters in Coleford, Gloucestershire.
The new facility consists of a 6 metre test well and includes the equipment required to handle the testing of between 120 and 150 different pumps a year, reports Energy Global.
Along with the well, the associated test facilities at Colefield have also been upgraded, with an increased power supply allowing the testing of very large pump motors.
Other future plans include construction of a new facility on the same site for testing flow rates of up to 3500 l/sec, which will be enabled by government funding.
