Alstom wins onshore wind farm substation contract in Brazil

France, Levallois-Perret: Alstom has been awarded a turnkey contract worth approximately €100 million ($110 million) from Eletrosul Centrais Electricas S/A (Eletrosul) to integrate wind farms located at Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, into the country’s transmission grid.

 


France, Levallois-Perret: Alstom has been awarded a turnkey contract worth approximately €100 million ($110 million) from Eletrosul Centrais Electricas S/A (Eletrosul) to integrate wind farms located at Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, into the country’s transmission grid.

Under the scope of this project, Alstom will supply two new substations with power transformers and associated electrical equipment and extend six existing substations, which will connect the power from the wind farms substations.

Alstom will supply the products, software and automation technologies with equipment produced locally at Canoas and Itajuba sites in Brazil.
