Winder Power wins major distribution transformer contract with SSEPD
United Kingdom, Pudsey: Winder Power Ltd, a UK manufacturer of power and distribution transformers, has been awarded a contract by Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution (SSEPD) for the bulk supply framework for the energy company’s primary distribution transformers.
United Kingdom, Pudsey: Winder Power Ltd, a UK manufacturer of power and distribution transformers, has been awarded a contract by Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution (SSEPD) for the bulk supply framework for the energy company’s primary distribution transformers.
For the duration of the contract Winder Power will manufacture and supply primary distribution transformers for SSEPD, and will be responsible for delivery and on-site assembly, the company states in the press release.
The transformers cover a wide range, up to 20/40 MVA units.
“Commencing on 1 July 2015 and running for five years the contract will potentially provide for job creation and expansion within the company,” said Paul Matthews, Executive Director at Winder Power.
