New U.S. DOE distribution transformer efficiency standards from 2016

USA, Washington D.C.: On 1 January 2016, new U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) efficiency standards for distribution transformers will go into effect, increasing the electrical efficiency of critical equipment that distributes power into homes and businesses.

 


USA, Washington D.C.: On 1 January 2016, new U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) efficiency standards for distribution transformers will go into effect, increasing the electrical efficiency of critical equipment that distributes power into homes and businesses.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has regulated the energy efficiency level of low-voltage dry-type distribution transformers since 2007, and liquid-immersed and medium-voltage dry-type distribution transformers since 2010.
