New transformers for Amur and region’s Trans-Siberian transport hub

Russia, Amur Oblast: Russia’s Federal Grid Company (FGC) is upgrading 220 kV Blagoveshchensk and Belogorsk substations to increase the electricity supply into the distribution grid of the Amur region and the power centre of one of the main Trans-Siberian Railway stations.

 


Russia, Amur Oblast: Russia’s Federal Grid Company (FGC) is upgrading 220 kV Blagoveshchensk and Belogorsk substations to increase electricity supply into the distribution grid of the Amur region and one of the main Trans-Siberian Railway stations.

As part of the project, new power transformers will be installed at the substations, which will ensure greater reliability, resistance to short circuits and fire safety, reports Interfax.

220 kV Blagoveshchensk transformer station with a capacity of 250 MVA was first put into operation in 1970 providing electricity to consumers in the Blagoveshchensk district.

Belogorsk substation with the capacity of 126 MVA is the main power supply centre for Belogorsk transport hub and one of the main Trans-Siberian Railway stations in the region.
