Tata Power DDL commissions its first GIS substation

India, Delhi: TATA Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has commissioned its maiden 66/11 kV GIS substation along with ABB India at Prashant Vihar, Rohini, a densely populated residential sub city in North West Delhi.

 


India, Delhi: TATA Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has commissioned its maiden 66/11 kV GIS substation along with ABB India at Prashant Vihar, Rohini, a densely populated residential sub city in North West Delhi.

The new substation has two power transformers of 25 MVA each, which will cater to the demand of the surrounding areas and benefit over 50,000 consumers in Rohini, including institutional, domestic and commercial consumers.

The substation is constructed in a plot of just 540 square metres, which is 10% of the area required for a conventional substation of the same capacity.
