Russia, Moscow: The Federal Testing Centre (FTC) and Power Machines – Toshiba High Voltage Transformers have signed a cooperation agreement focusing on the development of a new transformer testing centre which should boost local electrical production and implementation of high-quality power equipment in the Russian power industry.

“Together we plan to update standards and other regulatory documents for the testing of power transformer equipment and to use the facilities of Power Machines – Toshiba High Voltage Transformers’ plant at the initial phase for certain types of tests, and conduct further testing of the equipment at the FTC facilities,” FTC General Director Sergey Titov said.

The cooperation also provides for R&D, as well as experimental design works on the use of new technologies in transformer equipment production.

The establishment of a new testing centre in Russia will allow reduction of testing time and costs for Russian transformer manufacturers.
