National Grid SA and SPTC sign MOU on transformer design
Saudi Arabia, Riyadh: National Grid Saudi Arabia (NG) and Saudi Power Transformers Company (SPTC) have reached a memorandum of understanding aimed to develop standards and specifications of power transformer design for NG.
Saudi Arabia, Riyadh: National Grid Saudi Arabia (NG) and Saudi Power Transformers Company (SPTC) have reached a memorandum of understanding aimed to develop standards and specifications of power transformer design for NG.
According to the MOU, NG specifications and standards will be in line with the latest international transformer design standards and ensure a balance between cost and quality performance, SPTC states in the press release.
The development and standardization of transmission network is also mentioned, which will contribute to the reduction of manufacturing, installation and commissioning period.
The MOU additionally includes training programmes, localization of technology, and research and development for electricity transmission systems.
