The Philippines, Manila: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has commissioned two new power transformers, improving its transmission services in two provinces in Luzon, the country’s largest and most populous island.

NGPC energized a new 100 MVA power transformer at the Mexico substation in Pampanga and another 75 MVA transformer at the Bayombong substation in Nueva Vizcaya, reports Business World Online.

According to NGCP, the new power transformers should improve system reliability in these areas, and stabilize the demand from steel mills in Pampanga.
