WB to support Azerbaijan power distribution upgrade with $400M

Azerbaijan, Baku: The World Bank has officially announced Azerbaijan Power Distribution Modernization (APDM).
According to the Bank, the total budget for the project is estimated at $400 million, with $300 million ready to be financed through the International Bank for Reconstruction & Development (IBRD), reports abc.az.
The project will focus on the transmission and distribution of electricity. Around 70% of the budget is expected to be spent in rural areas while 30% will be allocated to upgrades in cities.
