Schaffner MTC Transformers expands its Virginia plant
USA, Virginia: WYTHEVILLE: Swiss company Schaffner MTC Transformers is expanding its transformer manufacturing facility in Wytheville, Virginia, creating 79 new jobs.
USA, Virginia: WYTHEVILLE: Swiss company Schaffner MTC Transformers is expanding its transformer manufacturing facility in Wytheville, Virginia, creating 79 new jobs.
According to company President Matthew Clarke, the expansion funding of $3.1 million will mostly be spent on machinery, and an engineering wing will be added to the plant, reports Washington Post.
The company currently employs 72 people at the plant.
Schaffner Holding AG acquired MTC Transformers in 2011.
